Il Divo Hallelujah

  1. This Il Divo music was given to me as a Birthday gift a few years ago...the gift was from a very dear friend of mine that I now refer to as an 'Angel among us'...she has since passed but the generosity of her giving nature lives on daily within me. I had the privilege to be at her bedside when her time was near...she held on tightly locking her hand around my forearm right below my elbow and I in return locked my hand around her forearm just below her elbow...she kept gripping my forearm with her hand as tightly as she could...the gripping would happen in no certain rhythm but when it happened she would say "lift me up, please lift me up"...at the moment I thought she just wanted to get out of the hospital bed and go home...that wasn't what she wanted at all...she wanted me and the other loved ones surrounding her to help lift her up to God...to go home...

I recently read an article on the sense of touch and the sensations we experience with just the slightest embrace from someone we love. It has a profound effect on our brain chemistry in the most positive way. At the end of this article it talked about the nerves and sensations that surround the forearm...it is the center of trust...it provokes the sensation of love and trust when you embrace someone in this fashion...locking forearm to forearm...that is exactly what she did with me. Trust and love she offered to me even with her last moments on this earth. She truly is an 'Angel among us'.

One of the dreams I often have is one of standing high on the edge of a beautiful cliffside and reaching over to embrace someone I love that is falling...but I catch them with my hand and locking it around their forearm so they know they will never fall too far from my heart no matter how long we remain apart or how much distance is put between us...they are with me always and no one or nothing will ever remove that from my soul, or spirit...it remains within heart...sacred.
