Projects With Purpose
New Orleans
One of my dear friends asked me to help her recently with a project. It was in New Orleans rebuilding a neighborhood community center still recovering from the devastation post Katrina. While I was on site helping to rebuild this neighborhood I met so many diverse people from all walks of life. My camera was my constant companion and I was able to capture hundreds of incredible images. Those images will be compiled within a book sometime in the future but for now I would like to introduce you to one of my new friends. His name is Kareem Kennedy and he is the author of Aunt Alice vs Bob Marley...My Education in New Orleans. This fine young man has been able to overcome many of life's harshest obstables. You must read his story and learn more about perseverance and the human spirit. Rather than let his obstacles beat him down he made a choice to jump over them and pursue life to it's fullest.
I am so very proud to say he is my friend. Everyone need's to have a copy of his book and share it with those you love because I feel it is another way to help you
